Trockensteinmauern (im Dialekt "Gromače") sind typisch für Küstengebiete und ein Andenken an die Vergangenheit. Sie entstehen, indem man Steine ohne Bindemittel aufeinander schichtet und gehören zur volkstümlichen Architektur. Diese große Trockensteinmauer gehört in der Küstenregion zu den größten Denkmälern ihrer Art. Es ist auch die Größte auf der Insel. Sie befindet sich in der Nähe des Ortes Kras, auf einem der höchsten Gipfel der Insel Krk, auf Kuševica (311 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel), der von der lokalen Bevölkerung auch "Heiliger Juraj" genannt wird.
Gromače (the local word for "drywall") are drywalls typically found in Croatian. Littoral reminding us of a time gone by. They are constructed from rocks that are not cemented together and regarded as a form of folk architecture. Vela gromača is the island´s biggest and most remarkable one. It es located near Kras on Kuševica (aka Sveti Juraj), one of Krk´s highest points with an elevation of 311 m.
Gromače (dijalektalni naziv za suhozid) su specifičnost primorskog krajolika, all bez uporabe vezivnog materijala, pa zu stoga jedan od oblika pučke arhitekture. Vela gromača jedan je najpoznatijih takvih spomenika Primorja, te največa otočna gromača. Nalazi se nedaleko mjesta Kras, na jednome od najviših vrhova otoka Krka, na Kuševici (311 metara nadmorske visine), ili u lokalnom nazivlju na "Svetom Jurju".
