The "Off The Beaten Path" Series gets you back to nature, offers fresh air and a little exercise at the same time. A some point you will notice you can not hear the sound of cars...don't worry this is normal...does caching get any better than that!
There is limited parking at the trail head on Power Dam Drive. You can also access the trail from Vincent Massey and park near Archie's Golf Center - there is a cache there as well - but a longer return walk or ride (very healthy).
You have a few options:
- Walk the trail - healthy
- Bike the trail - healthy but you will have to park the bike for each cache
- Snowshoe in season - healthy
- X-Country Ski in season - healthy but difficult in deeper snow
- Drive the trail - unhealthy and you go to jail - bail money not provided and your log will be deleted!
The cache:
This one is a little deeper in the forest...a bushwhack yea. The cache name is very fitting and if you listen very carefully you may hear the sound of Ichabod Crane and his horse moving through the forest.
