The Canadian Hockey Association cites that the first recorded women's ice hockey game took place February 11, 1891. But I assume that the first time a female laced up her skates and grabbed a stick came much earlier than that, when a little sister pestered her brother into letting her play. Of course, he probably made her play goalie. Since that time, women's involvement in ice hockey has continued to grow; and today many facilities have implemented girls/women only programs to expose more females to The Best Game on Earth. **The statements included in this description are the sole opinion of Mamapants, and are in no way to be mistaken as a geocaching.com fact.
This cache is to honor female ice hockey players. Antsinpants is in no way affiliated with the facility, other than patronage. It is Mamapants' home away from home where she receives weekly "therapy" keeping her sanity in check (pun intended).
Stealth is a must due to muggles of the teen and tween variety during peak weekend and after school hours. There are also some neighboring businesses. Please approach from the southeast corner to avoid electrical boxes. Permission has been given by the building's general manager to place this cache. Please replace the cache better than it was found, and check the bottom to honor another "Great One."
This is my first hide, so advice is welcome. Ownership of the First to Find Geocoin goes to the FTF. Please Cache In/Trash Out.
Congratulations to FTF geoconsumer (25 min.), STF CaptainObvious78 (32 min.), and TTF PROBOB (a bit later)!
