Geocache Description:

This cache is my 200th hide so I hope you enjoy.

When on Google maps doing some aerial recon of the area on the nearby Dynamite Cave cache I noticed these "big old boys" hanging out on the hillside. So immediately I though geocache.

From the overhead view there appears to be 12 separate large rocks, can you find which one the cache is at? To help you out a little I gave a hint since your GPS is likely to bounce around.

Take your time to explore the area and take plenty of pictures. I do ask that you PLEASE BE CAREFUL!! Some of these rocks are easily 40-50 feet tall and a slip and fall off one wouldn't be good. The nearest hospital is miles away. So PLEASE, watch the little ones and pets as well. The cache IS NOT ON ANY ROCKS, climbing them is strictly up to you and not needed to find the cache. You're looking for a .50 cal ammo can so its not that hard.

I've waypointed two parking areas and the trailhead, which is a horse trail so use caution on it as well. If you wish to come from Parking 2 (shorter walk to trailhead) there's a few informational markers about the area that I suggest you stop and read.

Also this is state gamelands and hunting is permitted so please wear the appropriate amount of blaze orange for your safety.

I listed a parking (NUMBER 1) waypoint but finding this may prove to be tricky. Duhring Road becomes FR124 for a section. From FR 124 you'll want to take FR227 Banks Run Road to the parking. Banks Run seems to go on forever but trust me there's parking at the end. PARKING 2 will require you to follow FR124 as stated above but you'll continue until you see another FR227 (Little Hunter Road on Google Maps) and .2 miles from the first FR227. Confusing a little yes but either way will take you to parking for the cache.

PLEASE USE CAUTION IN THE WINTER. I doubt these roads are maintained and would be VERY difficult in the snow.

Now to the good stuff...

FTF prize is whats in the bag with the log book - an UNACTIVATED ASPGB 2013 geocoin and proxy coin to release and keep the coin for your collection. Also there's a gold dollar coin.

Other swag in the cache include muggle cards to pass out, geowoodstock lanyard, midwest geobash pouch, a rooster (not living or previously alive) 4 hotwheels for the kids to pick from and a pathtag from our local caching group GEOMASH.

ENJOY!!
