The name of the cache is a translation of the dutch word for Smurf. What does it mean? Nothing really, it's a made up word. FTF prize is a winners medal with a non trackable Minelab Geocoin.
While out investigating the disappearance of another of my caches in the area I found evidence of tampering by an evil wizard. A little digging and I confirmed that it was, indeed, Gargamel. I think to avoid my old cache from falling into the wrong hands the Smurfs may have taken it and hid it better to preserve it's past.
I followed the path a little farther and sure enough I found what I was looking for. The Smurf's are en masse guarding my latest incarnation. Thank you all.
At the time of placement my GPSr was showing +/- 4m but it should be pretty straight forward and you can't miss it once you have found it.
