Rainbow trout and steelhead are both highly desired food and sport fish. They are the same species steelhead being a salt water type of the fish. Either way if you get one on the end of your fishing line be prepared for some fish air time as they like to jump. I have seen them clear 4 or 5 feet from the top of the water.
