A nord di Cormòns si trova il Monte Quarin, un’altura di 274 m che fa da sfondo naturale alla cittadina, rammentando a chi lo vede che da lì comincia il Collio e che Cormòns ne è la capitale. Qui sorse il Castrum di epoca romana, che ne fece un punto di difesa e osservazione. E infatti dalla sua sommità si può ammirare uno splendido panorama che spazia dalle Alpi alla pianura, dal Collio al mare.
Ma prima di giungere alla cima, ci sono diversi elementi interessanti sulle pendici del Quarin. Ci sono vari gruppi di case, disposti a centa, con resti di mura piuttosto antiche. Si incontra poi la bella chiesetta trecentesca di San Giovanni Battista.
Più su, al termine di una strada che conduce ad un piccolo parcheggio con vista sulla pianura, inizia una piccola camminata che, sdoppiandosi dalla strada ormai vietata ai veicoli, conduce alla chiesa della Beata Vergine del Soccorso. Da qui si gode una bella vista.
Proseguendo a piedi per la strada si giunge alla cima, dove si trovano i resti del castrum e da cui si può spaziare con la vista sino alle coste dell’Istria.

Il piazzale è dedicato ad un capitano degli Alpini, medaglia d'oro al valore militare.

To the north of Cormòns is Mount Quarin , a rise of 274 m which acts as a natural backdrop to the town, rammentado to anyone who sees it from there begins the Collio and Cormòns is the capital . Further up, at the end of a road that leads to a small parking lot with views of the plains, a small walk that starts , doubling from the road now forbidden to vehicles, leads to the church of Our Lady of Salvation . From here you can enjoy a beautiful view.
Walk further down the road to the summit , where there are the remains of the castrum and from which you can explore with a view down to the coast of Istria .
