Cache can be accesed by boot travel, if you intended to drive part ways obtain the Bull Dog Pass from the local USFS office.

The Bulldog Pass is not required for hiking, it is only for vehicular usuage.

Standard hiking gear would be useful when hiking this area.   REMEMBER, this is an desert environment so prepare accordingly.
