Geocache Description:


This cache will bring you to an area once known as hanging rock. The area once featured two large sandstone formations that hung out over the river. One of the formations was destroyed by an earthquake in 1811. Soon after authorities decided to dynamite the other for safety reasons. You are looking are a regular size lock-n-lock with a log and some small trade items. Please take to care to rehide cache so that it doesn't float away during floods. Little cachers will enjoy exploring the area but keep a close eye on them because of the slippery rocks and nearby river. Please approach gz from below instead of above. There is parking nearby.

The container has repeatedly disappeared thanks to the local youths. Rather than continue to fight a loosing battle I am asking cachers to treat this one as a virtual until groundspeak tells me I can't do this or I come up with a better idea. Just post a picture from GZ and leave a nice little log about your experiences.
