All Aboard! This cache is placed on the railbed of the old Brockville & Westport Railroad which opened in 1888. From the Delta Station which was located across the road from ground zero, outbound shipments of livestock, butter, and cheese were made and inbound shipments of grain, feed, fuel, fertilizer and road materials arrived. The B&W carried shoppers, students, sports teams, salesmen and tourists. Special trains would bring the midway to Delta and excursion parties to church and merchant picnics at Lower Beverley Lake. The final trip was on Labour Day weekend in 1952. Residents along the route waved as the old steam engine made it's last journey. Toot toot!
The cache is located within 1 metre of the road; no need to go on private property. BYOP
