About 200 feet off of the Blue trail - I know I know - a bit of a bush whack.
Terrain can be harder during the fall with all of the leaves and trap rock. Wear your orange in the Fall as there is hunting here. Continue on and get the others on the trail and come back via the red blue. Pill container camo'd. Parking on 71 for two cars right across from the trail head, down the street or at Summit Wood Dr.
This cache is just off of the Metacomet Trail - a 62.7-mile Blue-Blazed hiking trail that traverses the Metacomet Ridge of central Connecticut and is a part of the newly designated 'New England National Scenic Trail'. The Metacomet Trail passes through land located within the following incorporated towns, from south to north: Berlin, Meriden, Southington, New Britain, Plainville,Farmington, West Hartford, Avon, Bloomfield, Simsbury, East Granby, and Suffield, Connecticut. The southern terminus of the trail is located just east of the Hanging Hills on U.S. Route 5, 4 miles north of the city of Meriden, in the town of Berlin, Connecticut; the northern terminus is located in the hamlet of Rising Corner, part of Suffield, Connecticut.
