When trying to come up with a suitable name for this cache, we combined a couple of attributes and voila, a name from the past sprung up. Here's a tribute to an actor who starred in many movies way back in the 50's and 60's.
The start of this trail on the River Road dead end begins on Scenic Hudson property where the cache is located. If you continue southward you will seamlessly enter the Roosevelt home trail system. Still further southward meandering will eventually end you up at the Culinary Institute. Lots of great views of the river and an all around nice walk through the woods. There are a few short but steep hills for the exercise conscious.
We got this cache idea from another one which we didn't find. How could we have done that you may ask? Since we never found the geocache, we have no idea what type of hide it was but it got us thinking. How could we hide something with limited hiding areas available? Some of our geocaches tend to be somewhat devious and it seems to be what many cachers enjoy based on the number of favorite points a less than obvious hide receives. So hopefully this cache will provide a challenge. There are a few hints in this content that may help. I will add more depending on the "findability" so leave a DNF if necessary. Some more experienced cachers may have already found a similar style cache.
Even though the cache is large, it contains only a log so BYOP. Please be sure to replace the lid correctly.
