Boston Honey Traditional Cache

This cache might be an initial surprise when one conjures up thoughts and pictures with a name, but as you will read and see - it is the real thing.

A quick roadside cache as you pass by...... ..... ..... or is it ?

This piece of American armoury was supposedly dubbed "What a Honey", when first seen by the British forces who used it extensively in the last World War.

Almost 14,000 of these tanks were manufactured between 1941 and the final one came off the assembly line in September 1943. The Stuart M3 was a small but highly maneuverable tank that played a vital role in the last World War. After the war many have been shipped around the world and there are numerous such silent memorials to the thousands who during the war paid the ultimate price. South Africa too was recipient of many of these tanks, known as "Honey", and are scattered throughout the country. This is one that is relatively intact and well kept, in place of prominence, in the M.O.T.H. grounds as a traveler approaches Boston from the Howick side.
