Geocache Description:


Haviland Cemetery



A secret family cemetery, mostly overgrown and hidden from view. Touring the old headstones, you will see multiple generations of Havilands, with a couple Parkers thrown into the mix. The most notable is David Haviland, who settled in Harrison for a period of time and produced a certain type of china. This burial ground consists of his family members who were French immigrants. According to genealogy records, some signage is curiously incorrect. Click the related link to learn more information about this site.

In true Harrison fashion, there is no formal parking area. Pull off the side of the road, and be careful of passing vehicles. The cache is not hidden inside or near any graves. Out of respect for the deceased, and for those who would rather not get poison ivy, I've made this a park-n-grab. The container is secure; please do not remove it. BYOP.
