Located on the south end of Washoe Lake is a bird watching and wildlife viewing area with informational displays, boardwalks and hiking paths that provide access to the wetlands in this part of Washoe Lake State Park. Parking coordinates are included below. Enjoy a fun walk towards the lake on a gravel path. Be sure to look for animal tracks, scat and birds galore. There's a viewing platform along the way where you can stop and take photos of this gorgeous valley and lake, and the nearby Sierra Nevada, Carson and Virginia Mountain Ranges.
