Geocache Description:

Albert Park Lake is a lovely place to spend some time.  Walking, canoeing and caching, it can all be done here.   This will be difficult ,if not impossible to do during the Melbourne Grand Prix.  This should be an easy park and grab.

The cache is named Monkey trap, as the hide reminds us of the story. Supposedly to catch a monkey you take a coconut, make a small hole in it and tether it to something fixed.  Then you bait it with a piece of fruit.  When the curious monkey finds the fruit, it reaches in and grabs the fruit making a fist which will not allow the monkey to pull its hand out of the hole.  The hunter then comes along and captures the monkey.

This is now at a slightly different location as the original was cut down. Its similar but not quite the same.

You do not need to reach in far for our piece of forbidden fruit.  When you find it please unscrew the container before taking it away to sign, and be gentle not to dislodge the anchor.  And please replace as found and out of sight.
