Down by the River Traditional Cache
Species5618: Not only was this cache washed away by the January storms but the log it was hidden under, was also washed away. Archiving this one to make room for something new.

A soda bottle blank hidden near ground level with no need to climb any trees. Look out for poison oak, there was none when I hid it but who knows what spring will bring.
We were on a hike to maintain, find and hide a few caches. One our way back from the hike there was a group of people standing on the shore here and a couple in the water. Keep in mind it was late November when I hid this cache so the water was COLD. Then I saw that this was a baptism is progress. I did not realize that they still came Down by the River for this sort of thing.
If you are a vampire or of a different faith be careful to not get wet here because evidently these here waters have special powers. Don't worry though the cache is just a plain old cache with no special powers.
BTW the cache was named after an SNL skit with Chris Farley where his character lived in a van Down by the River not after the activities I observed there later that day.
