Geocache Description:

One of three child friendly caches on the new Silverbridge Way between the South Devon villages of Brixton and Yealmpton.

The South Devon villages of Yealmpton and Brixton are only 1.75 miles apart, but separated by the pedestrian unfriendly A 379.  After a referendum, the inhabitants of the two villages voted to create a footpath.  Silverbridge Way opened in August 2013 creating a safe route for those on foot or bike between the two villages, safely away from the speeding traffic.  This is part of three caches, designed to be child friendly with swaps which follows the new path between the villages.  Enjoy the views and a hidden stream which you would normally miss travelling by car.

Nearest public on road parking is Mizac Close in Yealmpton, named after the Normandy village which Yealmpton is twinned with.  Follow the pavement on the A379 towards Brixton.  You will find the new path is well sign posted as Silverbridge Way off the pavement. The container is a small clip box not far from the path, suitable for swaps and trackables.
