Bandhagens centrum är ritat av Curt Strehlenert och invigdes 1954, då Bandhagen ännu bara hade knappt 3500 invånare. Torget samt fontänen där Horisontal huserar utformades av Erik Glemme. The sculpture in the square of Bandhagen's centrum is called Horisontal and was created by Folke Truedsson. It was placed in 1973 and stands proud in the middle of a fountain.
