Lottie Mae was a spinster sister. She was the friend anyone (man, woman and child) called for an adventure. Heck, she was put on this earth to give others permission to follow their dreams, their curiosities, their "Yen", their zest for life. She was everyone’s partner in crime. Some called on her to keep a secret, some called on her to tell a tale, others called her give permission to mix blueberry with strawberry while making jam or plaid with floral while dressing for the Mendocino County Fair.
The one thing that never happened…nobody ever called Lottie Mae Rose out. She had her own secrets too. By being a faithful confidant to many, her secret was safe from discussion (casual, political or otherwise).
You see, Lottie Mae had her own zest for life. In today's day and age most would think her a pioneer, a renegade, a trailblazer. In days gone by she was unusual, odd, and free spirit. Back then these descriptions were not a compliment. You see Lottie Mae fancied herself a tightrope walker. This often meant that she was caught in awkward places at awkward moments observing awkward exchanges while she was learning her craft. She had a tendency to drop in on people so to speak.
