Hi to all, and welcome to another Blacklegend cache.
Another cache in my "Astronomy" educational mystery cache series. This one is about space exploration, and will feature 6 pretty easy questions about the subject. Get the kids involved, I'm pretty sure they will enjoying helping with the research.
Astronomy is my other big interest after Geocaching, although, I find that I have not been out with a telescope for a while, I will get back into that at some stage.
Ok, so here are the questions..... Google is your friend.....

B = Bearing in mind that only 6 Apollo missions successfully landed on the Moon, Apollo 11 to 17, with Apollo 13 not quite making it due to a spacecraft malfunction, how many people in total walked on the Moon's surface?

True of false, Voyager 1 has officially left the Solar System and is in interstellar space ? You can read all about it in the above link. Some great information.

False = 6

Y = In the 1970's the USA sent space probes to Mars, called Viking. They orbited the planet then sent down probes to land on the surface of Mars. The missions were a resounding success and much was learned about Mars. How many Viking probes were sent to mars?
Multiply the answer by 2
Z = The ISS - International Space Station is a multi-national space station which has been in orbit around the Earth since 1998, and continuously manned, at the time of publication of this cache, for 13 years. Amazing. The ISS orbits the Earth at a height of about 415 kms and at a speed of about 7.66 kilometers per second. It takes about 90 mins to orbit the Earth and can easily be seen if you know where to look in the sky, with the naked eye. The primary mission of the ISS is scientific research. The question is, when fully crewed how many people are aboard the ISS
Subtract 3 from the answer
