Ariel har alltid varit noga med sina kläder. Därför tvättar hon ofta och hon anser sig ha kunskaper inom området som håller henne flytande. Andra menar att hon är ett riktigt pulver. Ett av de tvättupplägg som hon kör med kallar hon för Normaltvätt. Schemat för det ser ut så här (inklusive pauser):



Eftersom Ariel är väldigt modemedveten så är hon väl förtrogen med begreppet stentvättade jeans. Således ser hon till att stentvätta sina byxor emellanåt. Detta upplägg kallar hon för Extratvätt. För att beräkna mängden jeans som kan tvättas använder hon sig av en formel, vilken hon har hittat på ett gör-det-själv-forum (som hon anser vara tillförlitligt). Vattnet där hon bor innehåller 137 mg kalciumoxid per liter vatten. Den totala mängden jeans har en massa på 1.9 kg och stenen väger 1.5 kg. Hon vill att maskinen ska rotera 2550 gånger och erfarenhetsmässigt så vet hon att trumman snurrar i snitt med 2.5 varv per sekund. Formel för beräkning av hur mycket tvätt som kan rengöras:



Graniten som hon begagnar har en densitet på 1936 kg/m3.

För att få fram sitt Extratvättprogram radar hon upp följande parametrar:
Tvättid i hela minuter, antal gram tvättmedel med tre decimalers noggrannhet.

Det är uppenbart att Ariel inte kan tvätta. Hon måste ha hjälp. Det åligger dig att vara behjälplig!

Ariel has always been careful with her clothes. She washes them often and considers herself to have knowledge within the area that keeps her afloat. Others find her vacuous. One of her washing approaches that she utilizes she refers to as Normal wash. The outline for that looks like this (including breaks):



Since Ariel is much into fashion the concept of stone washed jeans is well known to her. Therefore she sees to it that her pants get stone washed every now and then. She calls this approach Extra wash. The amount of jeans that can be washed is calculated by the use of a formula, which she has found on a do-it-yourself forum (she considers it to be trustworthy). The water where she lives contains 137 mg of calcium oxide per liter. The total amount of jeans has a mass of 1.9 kg and the stone a mass of 1.5 kg. She wants the machine to rotate 2550 times. Through experience she knows that the drum revolves 2.5 rounds per second in average. This is the formula for how much laundry that can be washed:

She lines up the following parameters to get the Extra wash program:
