Dieser Geocache ist Teil des Geburtstagsgeschenks für unseren Freund Marcellinus.
Marcellinus reist gerne um die ganze Welt, um Mond- und Sonnenfinsternisse zu fotografieren. Außerdem ist er ein Sammler und nennt unter anderem eine Unmenge Schlümpfe sein Eigen. Und zu guter Letzt nutzt er wirklich jede Gelegenheit zum Geocachen ...
Was lag da also näher als ihm folgendes Geschenk zu machen:
Zwei Geocaches, zwei Travel Bugs, eine Aufgabe.
In beiden Geocaches befindet sich jeweils ein Travel Bug, der eine in Gestalt eines Schlumpfes, der andere in Gestalt des Schlumpf-Widersachers Gargamel.
Die Aufgabe des Urlaubsschlumpfs ist eine Reise um die Welt. Diese Reise soll ihn in mindestens acht verschiedene Länder führen, die alle eins gemeinsam haben sollen:
sie müssen in der Kernschattenspur einer der acht TOTALEN Sonnenfinsternisse des 21. Jahrhunderts liegen. Diese haben sich am 21.06.2001, 04.12.2002, 23.11.03, 29.03.06, 01.08.08, 22.07.09, 11.07.10 und 13.11.2012 ereignet. Die einzige Ausnahme bildet die Sonnenfinsternis vom 23.11.03, die nur in der Antarktis vollständig zu sehen war. Hey, wenn einer von Euch unseren Travel Bug in die Antarktis bringen kann – nur zu. Ansonsten sind wir auch mit einem Land zufrieden, das im Halbschatten lag. Am Ende soll der Travel Bug seinen Weg wieder zurück in diesen ersten Geocache finden.
Auf seinem Weg zu den acht Zwischenetappen soll der Schlumpf so viele unterschiedliche Länder besuchen wie möglich – er ist schließlich auf Weltreise.
Da wir fest an Euch glauben, machen wir die Aufgabe aber noch schwerer. Gargamel startet mit einer Woche Verspätung aus dem zweiten Geocache, um den Urlaubsschlumpf um die Welt zu jagen. Der Urlaubsschlumpf bleibt immer so lange in einem Land bis Gargamel im gleichen Land ist. Erst dann setzt er seine Flucht fort.
Sowohl der Schlumpf, als auch Gargamel - aber vor allem Marcellinus und wir - lieben Fotos. Ihr dürft und sollt also jederzeit Bilder bei Geocache hochladen. Außerdem könnt ihr die beiliegende SD-Karte und auch den USB-Stick nutzen, um dort weitere Fotos abzuspeichern. Fotografiert alles was ihr wollt: knipst euch oder andere Menschen, macht Bilder von Sehenswürdigkeiten, Kuriositäten oder was auch immer. Eurer Kreativität sind keine Grenzen gesetzt. Platz ist genug auf den Speichermedien. Wichtig ist nur: der Urlaubsschlumpf oder Gargamel sollen immer mit im Bild sein. Und bitte: wenn Ihr mit Eurer Fotosession fertig seid, dann packt SD-Karte und USB-Stick wieder zum Travel Bug, damit sie weiterreisen können.
Wenn es wirklich klappen sollte, dass einer oder gar beide den Weg zurück nach Berlin finden, so werden wir den Urlaubsschlumpf und Gargamel zusammen mit „ihren“ Urlaubsfotos an Marcellinus übergeben.

Geocache “Gargamel's HomeBase” GC4TP8X
This Geocache is part of our friend’s Marcellinus’ birthday present.
Marcellinus loves travelling around the world to take pictures of solar and lunar eclipses. He is also a gatherer and, among other things, has a huge number of smurfs. Last, but not least, he takes every opportunity to look for Geocaches.
What else would have been more appropriate as his birthday present than this:
Two Geocaches, two Travel Bugs, one task.
Both Geocaches contain a Travel Bug, one is a smurf, the other is his opponent Gargamel.
The smurf is expected to travel around the world visiting at least eight countries. These countries are supposed to have one thing in common. They should be located in the umbra of one of the eight total sun eclipses of the 21st century. These occurred on 21 June 2001, 4 December 2002, 23 November 2003, 29 March 2006, 1 August 2008, 22 July 2009, 11 July 2010 and 13 November 2012. There is only one exception. The 2003 solar eclipse was only completely visible from the Antarctic. So, in this case, we would accept any country in the penumbra to complete the smurf’s task. At the end, e.g. after having visited all countries required, the smurf is expected to travel back to his homebase in Berlin, Germany.
On his way to the eight “milestones”, the smurf is allowed and supposed to visit as many cities and countries as possible – remember he is on a round-the-world trip.
As we trust in you, the overall task is going to be even harder to complete. The smurf’s opponent Gargamel starts hunting the smurf with a one week delay from a second Geocache. The smurf is expected to stay in one COUNTRY until Gargamel arrives in the same country. As soon as Gargamel arrives, the smurf has to continue his journey.
We all, i.e. the smurf as well as Gargamel, Marcellinus and us, love photography. So you are allowed and strongly encouraged to upload pictures on either the smurf’s or Gargamel’s Travel Bug page at any time. In addition, you can use the SD card as well as the USB stick attached to each Travel Bug to store additional photographs. Please take pictures of everything you would like to: of you, your friends, different people, curiosities, places of interest or whatever. There are no limits. But please keep in mind: the smurf or Gargamel, respectively, should be visible on any picture taken. And please, please, please: after finishing your session, please put the SD card and the USB stick back to the Travel Bug.
If it should really work, i.e. if the smurf or Gargamel or both find their way back to Berlin, we will provide Marcellinus with all the pictures they bring along.

Este Geocache es parte de un regalo de cumpleaños para nuestro amigo Marcellinus.
A Marcellinus le gusta viajar a traves del mundo para fotografiar eclipses lunares y solares. Además es un coleccionista y posee entre otras cosas una gran cantidad de pitufos. Y aprovecha cualquier ocasión para hacer Geocache…
Lo cual es una buena razón para el siguiente regalo:
Dos Geocaches, dos Travel Bugs, una tarea.
En ambos Geocache se encuentra un Travel Bug, uno en forma de un pitufo, el otro en forma de su adversario Gargamel.
La tarea del pitufo de vacaciones es un viaje alrededor del mundo. Este viaje debe llevarle como mínimo a ocho paises distintos, que deben tener la siguiente característica común: tienen que estar en el nucleo de la sombra de uno de los ocho eclipses solares del siglo XXI. Estos sucedieron el 21.06.2001, 04.12.2002, 23.11.03, 29.03.06, 01.08.08, 22.07.09, 11.07.10 y el 13.11.2012. La única excepción fue el eclipse solar de 23.11.03 que sólo fue visto totalmente sobre la Antártida. Oye, si uno de vosotros puede llevar nuestro Travel Bug a la Antártida, adelante. Si no, estaremos contentos con un pais que estuviera en la penumbra. Al final el Travel Bug debe de regresar a este primer Geocache.
En su camino a las ocho etapas el pitufo debe visitar cuantos más paises diferentes mejor, en el fondo está dando la vuelta al mundo.
Como creemos firmemente en vosostros, vamos a hacer la tarea más dificil. Gargamel empieza su viaje de la segunda Geocache con una semana de retraso, para perseguir al pitufo de vacaciones en su viaje. El pitufo permanece siempre en un PAIS hasta que Gargamel haya llegado al mismo pais. Solo entonces continua su huida.
Tanto al pitufo como a Gargamel, pero sobre todo a Marcellinus y a nosotros, nos gustan las fotos. Vosotros podéis y debéis subir fotos en todo momento a Geocache. Además podéis usar la tarjeta SD y el USB-Stick adjuntos para guardar más fotos. Haced fotos de lo que querais: vuestras o de otras personas, fotos de monumentos o curiosidades o lo que sea. No hay límite a vuestra creatividad. Hay sitio de sobra en los medios de grabación. Lo único importante: Gargamel o el pitufo deben salir en la foto. Y por favor: cuando hayais acabado la sesión de fotos, volved a guardar la tarjeta SD o el USB-Stick en el Travel Bug, para que puedan seguir viajando.
Si realmente resulta que uno o los dos encuentran el camino de vuelta a Berlín, entregaremos a Marcellinus el pitufo y Gargamel con „sus“ fotos del viaje.
