We've been "celebrating" a 50 milestone this year and wanted to cap off our fun by introducing the caching community to the newest East Lyme hikng area (still under construction). As we were scoping out the trails, a majestic hawk soared overhead and perched nearby, giving us a great view of him and a tongue-in-cheek name for the cache.
To access the trails, turn off of Mostowy Rd and park in the open area next to the old JC Penney warehouse site. A short walk leads you to the trailhead kiosk. The right path leads you to the water, the left to the cache. You can access the cache via a side trail and only will need to bushwack for the final 20 feet or so. Enjoy!
