Geocache Description:

EARTHCACHING IS 10 YEARS OLD!

The first ever earthcache, Earthcache I - a simple geology tour of Wasp Head, was developed for a site just outside the town of South Durras in New South Wales, Australia by Geoaware and was "placed" on 10 January 2004.

You are invited to come and celebrate this milestone with the rest of the caching community!

What: A lekka bring-en-braai.
Date: Friday, 10 January 2014.
Time: 18:00 'till late.
Place: Helderberg Rugby Club, 160 Church Street, Strand (see published co-ords & other waypoints).
Cost: R25 per person to cover venue costs (kids 12 and under free)(this might be adjusted down depending on the number of attendees).
Bring: Something to braai, your choice of accompaniments & your own cutlery - because it is a licensed venue you have to buy your drinks there. There will be enough chairs/benches and we’ll supply the fires & braai grids.

EDUCATIONAL LOGGING REQUIREMENTS

To be able to claim this cache you have to submit a three page essay on your favourite earthcache topic…

No not really, you just have to come and enjoy a braai in the company of your caching mates.

Keep an eye on the listing for more information on fun earthcache related activities planned for the event…

See you there!

Earthcaching: because caching alone is not nerdy enough!
------------------------------------------------------------------ Perfect weather predicted for tomorrow evening!

Include the funniest/best reason why you prefer earthcaches above all other cache types in your "will attend log" and win a case of wine.

This should be quite entertaining as I realise most of you will have to lie through your teeth!

FAIR WARNING! FAIR WARNING!
