Geocache Description:

This is an easy, urban find along the original route of Route 66. It has room for travel bugs and/or trinkets and swag. Cache contains a log and pen.

This new cache is a replacement for the former cache that was here placed by Letsride94 named: Travel Bug Emporium along the Original Rte 66 - II.  That one is now archived but you can view its history here: http://coord.info/GC3682F

Letsride94 has given me permission to adopt this cache and take over the maintenance.

This is an easy, urban find along the original route of Route 66. It has room for travel bugs and/or trinkets and swag. Cache contains a log and pen and I am starting it out with plenty of swag and 2 travelbugs.

Much of Manchester Road (Hwy 100) between St. Louis and Gray Summit was the original U.S. Route 66, although this was only temporary until US 66 moved to its later location at what is now Watson Rd.

Across the street you can see the stone marker for what used to be the historic stone Rock Hill Church built in 1845 (before they tore it down to make a gas station) and a bit further down you can also see the historic Fairfax House built in 1839.

This cache is available 24/7.
