32 Degrees South : 1 Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This cache is part of a series of 13, the rest of which are placed along or near the R61 between Queenstown, Cradock, Nieu Bethesda and beyond, which closely parallels with the S32 deg line of latitude and crosses it a number of times. We thought it would be fun to mark on the ground this otherwise invisible line.
The cache is placed along the N6 at a conveniently positioned formal picnic site. This site can become very busy as it is near the turnoff leading into the Transkei so use stealth when searching. Usually though it is peaceful. Please be aware that this is a National Road with fast moving and heavy traffic so keep aware of the risks when retrieving these caches and take special care of children. It is only possible to access this picnic site when heading north towards Queenstown. If you are driving south, either park on the verge or better, make a u-turn at a place where you consider it to be safe to do so. The area is often monitored by traffic officers so obey all traffic signs. Because it is a high muggle area at times the area can become somewhat polluted, therefore we have moved the cache slightly off the 32deg parallel. The cache is hidden in plain sight and you should not have to get your hands dirty. please replace as found.
