Freemasonry means different things to each of those who joins. For some, it's about making new friends and acquaintances. For others it's about being able to help deserving causes - making a contribution to family and society. But for most, it is an enjoyable hobby.
Freemasonry is one of the world's oldest and largest non-religious, non-political, fraternal and charitable organisations. It teaches self-knowledge through participation in a progression of ceremonies.
South East London Masonic Centre was opened on 21st January 1943. In 1955 the centre was extended and a re-opening ceremony took place to celebrate a new temple and dining facilities on 30th March 1955.
The Centre nestles among its neighbouring homes and businesses and is well placed with transport links.
You will need to bring your own pen. Have fun searching!
