Fairchild Traditional Cache

Jeep: I decided to archive this cache I have read in forums that Greenwich Audubon does not allow Geocaching. I do not won't any one else to see this Cache until I get more information. Cache is being removed. Sorry for the confusion. But I think at this point Archiving is the best thing to do.

Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Fairchild Wildflower Sanctuary

(please note parking and hours at the end of summary)

The legend has it, that Mr. Fairchild was coming home from Byram when he got caught in a bad storm. Somewhere along WILDERNESS RD he looked for higher ground and shelter. To this day we was never found. 

 

Open dawn to dusk daily except months of October December and January when is closed for Deer management and only open Thursdays - Sunday

Parking lot is on North Portchuck Rd
