Hey, everybody: Come out for a geo-get-together! 4:00 until 7:00 (or so)! Capital Ale's wait-staff is SO knowledgeable that you're bound to try something new that you like. Of course there are other drinks (with and without alcohol), good sandwiches, and really huge yummy pretzels, too. Daily happy hour from 4:00 until 7:00 with $1 off all small beers, $2 off all large beers, and specials on all alcohol drinks.
UPDATED TO ADD: Back by popular demand, there will be a white elephant/gift exchange starting at 4:30. If you want to participate (and not everybody will, so no pressure), bring a wrapped gift in the $10 range. Let the wild rumpus begin!
THIRD SATURDAY IS ALMOST CHRISTMAS, so we may have to be flexible if there are parties paying to use the room upstairs (and if it's too cold to be on the patio which I suspect it will be). When I call to warn them that we're coming I'll find out if there are paying customers upstairs and we'll see what we can work out, but for now just assume we're on as usual. (And if we want to take up a collection for the $60 to reserve it, let me know.)
If you think you'll be there (but won't recognize us) contact me privately and I'll give you a cell number to be sure you can hook up. Please please don't be too shy to ask around for us. Also, we might be fairly easy to pick out ... being geeky geocachers and all. There are always a couple people covered with briars and with bloody shins from walking through the woods AND YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! :-)
We're saying 4:00 to 7:00 to coincide with the drink specials, but as you know, CVGA is all about flexibility, so if you want to come at 2:00, that's still a smiley!
If you're new to the area, or new to geocaching, this is a GREAT event to come to! We're exceedingly friendly, a lot of us (not me) are really experts in all the electronics, and we all love to bring new folks into the fold!
