The cache is located in the Mount Tom State Reservation. It's a great park with lots of trails, beautiful views, a cool new playground, a visitor's center, and plenty of geocaches.
Paking is near the visitor's center. It is a short hike to the cache, which is placed between the closed paved road and the John McCool Trail. There's a bit of a view at this point, although it gets better if you continue up the trail. There is a small entrance fee to get in the park during the season. During the off-season, the park closes at 4 pm.
