On my regular early (before sun-up) morning walk earlier in the week around Laguna Lake Park, there low in the eastern sky was brilliant comet ISON with its tail pointing away from teh head. Brilliant Venus was also there, further east. It was thought to have broken up after passing around the sun, but maybe not.
