Geocache Description:

Permission has been granted for this Hide. Starting from the Horseneck Beach Parking lot, it is  a great walk or bike ride for beast and/or man. NO DOGS from March 15 through Oct.15 due to piping plover activity. There is a FTF coin taped to the top of the ammunition box cache. This is easy-peasy.  We've loaded the box .... so please leave something if you take something.  Les and Dad have been there at least 6 times this fall.  Momma likes this walk too.

Leslookie loves this area in the late fall until March 15th, when dogs are forbidden because of the piping plovers.  Dad also loves this area, because he grew up here.Dad thinks the bug was born from the devastation of Hurricane Carol in 1954.  That was when Horseneck was a Town Beach, before the State took it over.  Route 88 was not here then, and a beautiful salt marsh was on the north side of the present bridge.  Flounder fishing was great in the harbour when Dad was a boy.

Walk gently off the road.  Beware of deer ticks, especially if you are one of Leslookie's canine friends.
