Harbour Surprise! Traditional Cache

This is our eighth cache in the series & another easy find.

It is placed close to the ancient Roman Harbour in Sea Mills. 

The Romans founded a settlement at Sea Mills called Portus Abonae. The traces of a Roman road can still be seen on Durdham Down and this most likely led to Abonae. Mariner's Drive also seems to have been built on the line of a similar track and would have been the overland route taken to and from Gloucester.

It is a relatively low muggle area except at peak times when commuters are making their way to & from the station.

There is parking at GZ but please be aware that it is private parking for residents only so please park a little further away; it's pushchair friendly you can get within 20 feet or so. 

A pen/Pencil will be required & you may need tweezers to extract the log.
