When I was little I spent a lot of time with my Great Aunt Lu, and once a week or so we'd go on what four-year-old me considered a shopping spree down Main Street. We'd make our second-to-last stop Packards, which I remember being a confusing panoply of sights, sounds, and smells, with many escalors and many more people. It was a wonderland, especially in the winter once they put up their holiday displays!

Packards closed in 1991, and working in the area at the beginning of the crazy holiday season has made me nostaligic for the good old days when there was nothing cooler than flipping through the wallpaper books at Packards and getting to see Santa on Friday afternoon with my favorite grown-up. This cache is to commemorate the former location of this historic Hackensack landmark. Feel free to include your Packards memories if you have them!
Congrats to pleasantbeach for the ftf!
