The cache is in memory of one of my favorite singers - Arik Einstein. His sometimes naïve lyrics, his gentle voice & expression, his modesty and humor made him enter the hearts of many, including mine, The cache is near the house he lived in and loved (its coordinates are N32'4.649 E34'46.259). Arik (Arieh) Einstein (3.1.1939-26.11.2013), born in Tel Aviv, was an Israeli singer, songwriter and actor and a pioneer of Israeli rock music. He is considered to be an Israeli symbol - one of the core assets of Israeli culture. Some see him as the greatest singer of Israel. He collaborated with many Israeli singers and songwriters and was a vocalist with the Churchills, Batzal Yarok (Green Onion), Shlishiyat Gesher HaYarkon (Yarkon Bridge Trio) and HaHalonot HaGvohim (The High Windows). My favorites are "Zemer Nuggeh" (Sad Song) also known as "Hatishma Koli" (Will You Hear My Voice), "Ani Ve'ata" (Me and You) and "Uf Gozal" (Fly Little Nestling). Arik Einstein was also part of the early 1970s TV series "Lool" (Chicken Coop) - a sketch-and-song show, with a Monthy-Python style humor and great songs by great singers. The show became a cult and together with movies like "Shablool" (Snail), made Arik Einstein one of the top singers and comedians. He passed away at the age of 74 after suffering an Aortic aneurysm and was buried in Trumpeldor Cemetery, not far from where he used to live.
