Sir Elton - Sad Songs (Say So Much) Traditional Cache

Elton John has been going strong for nearly 50 years.  Born Reginald Kenneth Dwight in 1947, he changed his name to Elton Hercules John and flew to stardom.  He was somewhat flamboyant in his younger years, but he has settled down and was even knighted in 1998.  He was inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of fame in 1994.  He co-wrote most of his songs with Bernie Taupin.  He has had at least one Billboard top 40 song every year between 1970 and 1990.  This series of caches highlights some of his hits.

Sad Songs (Say So Much)

Released in 1984.  It reached #5 on the US charts.  The lyrics describe how it sometimes helps for someone who is feeling sad, or who has lost a partner, to listen to old radio blues classics. In the years since its issue, radio airplay has been modest compared with some of John's other 1980s singles.
