Automobilem se dá nejblíže dopravit do Útěchovic. Pěší přístup je možný po zelené turistické stezce (cyklostezce 3046) z Hamru na Jezeře, přes Útěchovice. Na samotný vrchol nevede žádná výrazná cesta. Zde doporučuji využit druhý trasový bod (404 m n. m.), ze kterého už můžete vystoupat až na vrchol kopce. Bohužel tu už není žádná cesta a tak dál musíte jít např. po zvířecím "vekslu" (pěšina vyšlapaná zvěří). Cache se nachází na vrcholu kopce Útěchovický Špičák.
K vrcholu kopce je také možné se vydat i z jiné strany, kterou cestu si vyberete, nechám na vás. Cache jsem se tady rozhodl založit po tom, co jsem zjistil, že má původní "Útěchovický Špičák" je zničená po nedávné těžbě dřeva. Také proto jsem ji přemístil o 75 m výš nad moře.
Samotný kopec je vysoký 499 m n.m..
