offline.cacher: The general rule reviewers use to archive a cache is that the cache owner has been notified (through a log entry) by the reviewer and that no response has been forthcoming. This is the case with this cache. As a result it has been archived.
If the owner would like to discuss this issue, please contact me through my geocaching.com profile. Include the GC code for the cache.

Geocache Description:

Unexpectedly proud tree discovered at Peaksview Park just off trail. Puzzle-multi-cache helps direct you near the tree and a little further to reach the final cache. Park is open dawn to dusk.

Tree depicted here is the King of the Forest. Your efforts will involve going from parking area @ N37° 25.221' W079° 13.368' to posted coordinates, and from there following the 3 next stages to reach the final cache.

To reach the posted coordinates from the above parking area (Ardmore entrance), follow bridge across the creek, and turn right along the greenway until it ends very near the posted coordinates.

From there, get the next coordinates from the tags placed at each of the stages, with a couple twists.

To get Stage 2 coordinates: Add the number seen next to "W" at stage 1 to both N & W of: N 37° 25.590 W 079° 12.807

To get to Stage 3: Go to the coordinates on the tag at stage 2.

The trail following along the the creek takes you to the "King of the Forest" as a small deer trail off the main trail, heading towards Stage 3. You will hopefully see the "King" on your way back to the main trail as you search for the final cache location since it's only about 30 feet from the 3rd stage, more or less in line with your path back to the trail.

To get coordinates for the final, Use X=number of loops hanging at stage 3, and: N 37 25.7[9*X] W 079 13.[314-(77*X)-1]

To reach the final cache location from the 3rd stage, when you get to the regular trail, turn right and follow up hill until you reach the next intersection. Turn right and follow that wider path up the hill until your GPS says to follow the trail to your right. There are a couple parallel trails or dirt roads heading in the right direction, so don't sweat it too much.

To return to the greenway from there, get back on the wider path and retrace your steps. There are shorter ways, but to prevent bushwhacking, and reduce risk of Poison Ivy/Oak exposure, retracing your steps is advised.

A mountain bike would be very helpful, though most any bike can handle the terrain on this path. I chose the path of the multi-cache in hopes that anyone who can pedal a bike can ride through this cache.

Have fun. Be safe. Stay out of the creek. Stay out of and off any structures. Call your Mom or Dad or other significant person and say Hi, you got a smiley!
