Ode to a Flower ... Challenge Mystery Cache
retiredprof: In light of geocaching's recent changes to the publishing rules, I am archiving all 150 of my challenge caches. I am a retired psychology professor, not a computer programmer. I am simply unable to comply with the new geochecker rules. I am sad that I have to do this. For those who have already begun any of my challenge caches, please note that you can still log archived caches. If you have any problems with this decision, please contact the geocaching authorities so that your suggestions may be considered.

The cache is located along the east side of the Feather River. Park at the yellow gate (39 00.394/121 34.654) and hike south on the levee. After .15 miles veer west onto the river trail, and hike about half a mile. You will eventually have to leave the hiking trail and use animal trails and/or bushwhack. Be sure to note the logging requirements below.
I have noticed recently that many of the caches I find have the word "flower" in the name. Now it's your turn. You must find 15 caches. The first 12 must have the word "flower" in the title. Plurals are ok, but no other variations of the word. Then you must find three caches with a specific flower in the name...three different ones from the following list: camellia, daffodil, daisy, fuchsia, gardenia, iris, lily, pansy, poppy, rose, and tulip. No locationless or lab caches are allowed, and only one cache from a series is permitted. Be sure to include four cache types (icons) on your list. And, while hiking to the cache, keep your eye open for a wild flower or two...
