The Wombat is a large pudgy marsupial found in Australia and close-by islands. Wombats give birth to tiny underdeveloped young that climb into the pouches in their mothers' bellies - the pouches face backwards so they don't fill with soil when the wombat is digging its burrow. The baby remains in then pouch for about five months but even after that time will return to the pouch to suckle or avoid danger. By seven months of age the baby wombat can fend for itself. Wombats use their strong claws to dig burrows in open grassland and eucalyptus forests. They live in these burrows which can become extensive tunnel chamber complexes. Common wombats are solitary and inhabit their own burrow. They are nocturnal and emerge at night to feed on roots, grasses and bark. Their rodent-like incisors never stop growing and are worn down by constant gnawing on their tough vegetarian diet. The Cache: You are looking for a small size container containing pencil, log book and a few swappable items. Please remember to leave an item of equivalent value if you take something and replace the cache exactly as you found it. An easy park and grab.
