Our annual camping meet has moved a little east to Wiltshire,
and will be returning to the popular CHRISTMAS theme.
So book the date in your diaries for:

Camping available from 20th to 23rd
After a rather windy affair at Brean last year we have decided to move inland to cache rich Wiltshire. We have found a nice sheltered site near Calne, Wiltshire called Blackland Lakes that has good well maintained facilities. Included in our booking is a large undercover BBQ area so in the unlikely event 
that we have inclement weather we have somewhere dry to congregate. On the down side there are very few pitches with electric hook-up (7) and initially we will be allocating these on a need basis and then on 1st come if any left
The site is easily accessible by road being just a few miles from M4 junctions 16 and 17, and for those using public transport the nearest station is at Chippenham just a few minutes up the road.
The obligatory BBQ will be held on the Saturday evening which will have a Christmas theme (start sorting out your costumes now) to which all smiley hunters are welcome. I will add details for this as we develop and formalise our plans, but do expect lots of silliness (muddy legs department).
Please bring your own food for the BBQ and if you can, a BBQ, although if you can't manage a BBQ there will be plenty around that you will be able to share.
If you intend to come to this event please can you log your intentions below, and please include whether you are camping, which nights you are camping, how many adults/children, type of unit and approx size, i.e. 8 man tent, 14ft caravan, 20ft motorhome etc.
Program
The program is at a very early stage of development, but as it develops we shall add details below and send out announcements.
The timings are not hard and fast, and could possibly be a little late if things overrun but are unlikely to be early.

Christmas Eve Flash mob event
We are organising an additional event for Christmas Eve in the centre of Calne - "A Christmas Flash", so if you would like to take part in this make sure that you get to camp in plenty of time. |

Meet & greet - With chilli supper and mulled cider at camp HQ. We do have a few disposable cups bowls and forks but if you can it would be helpful if you could please bring your own. |

Geo Bingo - Geo Bingo sheets will be handed out on arrival, if you don't get one please ask. Mingle with all the other attendees and get them to sign a square that matches an achievement, only one square per cacher mind. Once completed hand in (with your caching name on) at the designated spot and at around 8:00pm one will be drawn and a small prize given. |

Sue's mega raffle - We will be holding a raffle, the proceeds of which will go to a very good cause very close to our hearts as did previous years raffles. Tickets will be available from Friday afternoon onwards.

Boxing Day Brunch

Booking
This year bookings are to be made directly with us via an online booking form and payments will also be collected by us. We will require a £10 deposit at time of booking with the remainder to be paid by 20th May. Any bookings after 20th May will need to be paid in full.

Once we have received your booking we will send you an email with details of how to pay using either PayPal (preferred) or cheque. This is not automated so please be patient, but if you have not received it within a week please get back in touch. It would be appreciated if payments could be made promptly and within a week of the email for deposit and by due date for the remainder.
We have not been able to negotiated any huge discounts this year, however we believe the prices to still be good value with no extra charges for awnings, pup tents for children, dogs etc.
£6.00 per night per unit* non electric
£10.00 per night per unit* with electric (sorry, all allocated and long reserve list)
£4.00 per adult per night
£2.00 per child per night (aged 3 to 18)
There will also be a small additional charge of £1.50 per person aged under 18 or £3.00 aged over 18 to cover expenses to run this camp. PLEASE NOTE - This also applies to day visitors, please pay on the day to the event organisers.
Should there be any surplus this will be donated to the fund raising charities.
For day visitors the site charge £2 per adult and £1 per child over 1 year old.
For those without electric we will be setting up a charging station so you can recharge your gadgets.
