Geocache Description:

Cache is located on the Newington Town Green. It is handicap accessible up to the retrieval. It can be done in less than fifteen minutes.

Originally a part of Wethersfield, CT, Newington was incorporated as a town in 1871. It covers 13.1 square miles, and is home to approximately 30,000 people. Notable features include the smallest natural waterfall in the country (The Bridge at Mill Pond..., GC3JJNH), an Iwo Jima Memorial (Remember Why! GCJ12K), and the headquarters of the American Radio Relay League.

The cache is located at N 41° 41.9AB W 072° 43.4CD. You will need to visit two waypoints to determine the final coordinates. The listed coordinates will bring you to the first of these. Answer the first two listed questions correctly to get A and B. Then proceed to N 41° 41.924 W 072° 43.430 and answer the third and fourth questions to determine C and D. Once you have entered the new coordinates into your GPSr, you will take a very short walk to the final.

You are looking for a small container that could be a bit misleading for some. No need to go onto private property. Please use stealth, as you will be viewable from all directions. There is a parking lot adjacent to this cache. However, there is no left turn bearing east on East Cedar Street, so it may be easiest to turn off Main Street onto Ellsworth and then turn right onto Center Court.

This cache is part of the “Downtown / Main Street USA" series. Please visit the cache that started it all - Downtown / Main Street USA: Edison, NJ. Here you will find the latest count of caches in the series and find out how you can add your own.

Congratulations to very early risers Bobclimber, KDubs, and ron131 for their co-FTF.
