If you're looking for some special and spectacular views of Hua Hin, it's a must to visit (Flintstone Hill) Khao Hin Lek Fai.
It's situated about 3-4 km in the west of the Hua Hin downtown. On Chomsin Road over the railway line and instead of bearing right with the road to Pala U, keep going straight. It's a steep climb to the top, but worth it once you're there.
There are 3-4 lookout spots and it's a popular location with locals, especially at sundown which is arguably the best time to go. Try all the lookouts as they offer views in different directions, you can see as far south as Khao Takiab and beyond and north towards Cha-am.
If you're feeling fit you can join the active crowd who make the daily trip to the top by running or cycling. However it is not for the feint hearted! There are a few stalls selling food and drink and a bird centre that never seems to have many birds aside from the peacocks roaming around. A well laid out garden with many different species of shrubs, trees and bamboo, together with a statue of King Rama VII adds to the ambience of the location.
You can go by car or Tuk Tuk, Mountainbike or Motorbike. The cars and motorbikes must be parked at the big parking spot, by mountainbike you can drive inside the Viewpoint area, but, be carefull if many people work up there and be carefull about the little monkeys, the are very quick and grab handbags etc.
The cache is located at the last of about 3-4 viewpoints, i think it's the best one, not to crowded and very peacefull. I love this place after a mountainbike tour for relaxing and overlook Hua Hin and the golf course.
Take care about the cliffs, special if you have kids with you.
