Stratford Park Traditional Cache
ABCTrekkers: The cache seems to have disappeared yet again. The area has collected lots of garbage so there is just too much muggle traffic to keep the cache in play. I'm going to have to archive this one for now. Keep your eyes open for one or two new ones which may appear in the area.

All of my previous cache hides are located in parks and usually close to a trail. This one is located in a small piece of woodland in a park accessible from Stratford Way in Clayton Park West. There is lots of parking available on Stratford Way.
The cache is located in a small HRM park with the official name: Stratford Way Park and Gardens and Korean War Veterans Memorial Park. There was a former cache located close by but it seems to have been archived.
This Park is the site of the annual Remembrance Day ceremony in this community, an event we try not to miss. Before or after you grab the cache be sure to take a short walk around the gardens (except in winter!); there is a remarkable variety of native and horticultural plants here. Most of the plants were planted and some were donated by volunteers and volunteer groups. Remarkably, this Park is lit in the evening and the hours of operation are 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM!!
The former District 12 Councillor poured most of her annual discretionary funds into this Park for several years, so do pay a visit and see where your tax dollars have gone!
