Riverside ... Challenge Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

retiredprof: In light of geocaching's recent changes to the publishing rules, I am archiving all 150 of my challenge caches. I am a retired psychology professor, not a computer programmer. I am simply unable to comply with the new geochecker rules. I am sad that I have to do this. For those who have already begun any of my challenge caches, please note that you can still log archived caches. If you have any problems with this decision, please contact the geocaching authorities so that your suggestions may be considered.

Geocache Description:

The cache is placed along the east side of the Feather River. Park in the Star Bend Boat Launch parking area, and hike about one-half mile west from the silver gate on the jungle trail. You will arrive at the riverside and have a nice view of the river. Do not go into the jungle at night, and make sure you bring your lengthy TOTT.

While hiking along the riverside recently, it dawned on me that many of the caches we find have a single, simple compound word as its title. To satisfy this challenge, you will need to find 24 caches, each with a one word cache title that is a compound word (not a hyphenated word), each starting with a different letter of the alphabet. The word must stand alone, and not have any other letters or numerals with it (altho quotation marks and a question mark and/or an exclamatory mark are OK). The word and its two parts must be in my "American Heritage College Dictionary." No proper nouns, such as names, persons, or places...and no slang or foreign language words are allowed. No locationless or lab caches, and only one cache from a series is permitted. See my examples below. Be sure to include 5 cache types (icons) in/on your list. Now get to work...check your database and I hope you hit the jackpot...
