Geocache Description:

Cache is hidden near a monument of "Sakasai no watashi".

"Sakasai no watashi" was a ferry at Sakasai crossing Nakagawa on Motosakuradou road.

逆井の渡しは、江戸時代に江戸と佐倉、成田を結ぶ元佐倉道(のちの千葉街道)の中川に設けられた渡し場でした。
逆井の渡し付近は風景も良かったようで安藤広重が「名所江戸百景」のひとつに描いていますが、現在ではその面影はありません。
明治12年に橋が架けられて渡しは廃止されましたが、2012年になって逆井の渡し跡の記念碑が建てられました。
キャッシュは逆井の渡し跡の記念碑から少し離れたところに隠しました。
