Santa Lucia

Auf der Süd-Autobahn ist uns seit Jahren jedesmal im Vorbeifahren ein Antennenwald direkt am Straßenrand auf einem Hügel aufgefallen - aber weit und breit kein Haus in Sicht.....nur das Meer. Nun wollten wir diesem Geheimnis auf die Spur kommen. Also sind wir endlich mal an der nächstmöglichen Ausfahrt abgefahren und Richtung Antennenwald zurückgefahren. Am Ort des Geschehens angekommen - sind wir sprachlos! Hier scheint die Zeit stehengeblieben zu sein: Keine Touristen weit und breit, winzig kleine Häuschen schmiegen sich an bzw. unter die vorhandenen natürlichlichen Felsen, die teilweise sogar als Dach dienen. Einige Fischer sind in der kleinen Strandbucht am ausbessern ihrer Netze, andere sind draußen auf dem Meer mit einfachen, kleinen Holzschelchen. Katzen liegen faul in den Blumen und ein riesiger Hund bewacht die 3x3 Meter kleine Kapelle: wir sind in Santa Lucia! Welch eine Idylle - nur der Autobahnlärm stört ein wenig, ansonsten kann man hier am kleinen Mirador sich seinen Gedanken hingeben, die malerische Umgebung genießen und vielleicht wirklich auch zum Pinsel greifen! Fahrt hin und seht selbst nach und schreibt uns in Eurem Log Eure Eindrücke - gerne auch mit Photo!


For several years by now we recognise the antenna farm on a hill right next to the Southern autobahn every time we pass by this place - but far and wide there is no house in sight... just the ocean. Now we decided to suss the secret out; thus, we turned off at the closest possible exit and drove back towards the antenna farm. Arriving there, we are speechless! At this place the time seems to be not ticking: No tourists far and wide, tiny houses snuggle into the natural rocks that are partly even used as roofs. Some fishermen spot-repair their fishing nets, some other are on the ocean and use simple, small wooden bowls. Cats are lying around in the flowers lazily and a huge dog watches the 3 x 3 metres big chapel: We are in Santa Lucia! What an idyll - only the noise of the autobahn breaks this a bit. Apart from that you can indulge in your thoughts here at the little Mirador, enjoy the scenic setting, and maybe indeed reach for a paintbrush! Go there and have a look by yourself and then please write down your impressions in your log - a foto would be great as well!
