4.23. Unarchiving a Geocache

The archiving of a geocache is intended to be a permanent status. That is why only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ staff have the capability to unarchive it. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if it meets the current Geocache Listing Guidelines.

If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

This cache is a small camo container and is not at these co-ordinates. The final co-ordinates can be found by answering the questions below.

Please use stealth when retrieving and replacing, and ensure that it is well hidden before you leave. Thanks.

WEST AUSTRALIAN SHIPWRECKS

Information from: http://museum.wa.gov.au/maritime

At the given co-ordinates you should be at a location on Robert Point that commemorates the multitude of wrecks off the coast between here and Fremantle. Many wrecks have not been found or positively identified but the plaques here give details on 19 that have been identified. There are also a number of anchors here, which are not from the wrecks but are typical of what was used on the ships of that era.

To find the cache you will need to get some information off the plaques about the Mandurah Wreck Trail. You will need to work between both plaques to get the info you need.

A = last digit of the weight of Ship 3

B = Second digit of the time that the crew yelled "Rocks to Starboard" for Ship 17

C = The first digit of the day that Ship 9 hit Long Point

D = The first digit of the price paid for the wreck of ship 7

E = The third digit of the year the remains of ship 16 were identified

F = The last digit of the number of months the captain of ship 17 was suspended.

GZ is at S32 31.ABC and E115 42.DEF

Hope you enjoy the fresh air and the scenery whilst you are searching.

Good luck!!

Congratulations to shawny amy & Joo and Eth for joint FTF
