Come join us on January 18th at Discovery Park of America as we look back at the history of navigation during their Flight and Space Month.
We will be looking at just about every aspect of navigation, on land, on sea, and, of course, in space! We will discuss the advances in technology, up to, and including Global Positioning Systems.
As a part of our discussions, we will cover some of the fun things that can be done with GPS technology, including Geocaching.
Our time together will begin in the Life Enrichment Center at Discovery Park of America. You may enter the Life Enrichment Center and attend this class without having purchased a ticket to Discovery Park. We are hoping to have some geocaches placed in the parking lot and arrival circle, for those that want to embark on a geo-adventure.
We will meet in the Life Enrichment Center on Saturday, January 18, 2013, at 3:00 PM. Our classroom time will last about an hour. This class is absolutely free of charge, but anyone wishing to explore more of Discovery Park must purchase a ticket. General Admission tickets cost $13.95 for adults and $10.95 for children ages 4 – 12.
